Gustar Conjugation: All Spanish Tenses
Gustar (to like, to be pleasing) is one of the most used verbs in Spanish and it is completely regular: it follows the -ar verb pattern in every tense.
What is special about gustar is not its conjugation but its construction: the thing you like is the subject and the person is an indirect object (me, te, le, nos, os, les). That is why you say Me gusta el café (I like coffee, literally: coffee is pleasing to me) and not yo gusto el café, and Me gustan los libros (I like books). In practice the verb almost always appears in the 3rd person: gusta with one thing or an infinitive and gustan with several things.
