Morir Conjugation: All Spanish Tenses

Morir (to die, to pass away; figuratively, to feel something very intensely) is an irregular -ir verb with a triple irregularity, following the dormir model. First, the stem o changes to ue in the stressed forms (muero, mueres, muere, mueren; subjunctive muera; imperative muere). Second, the o becomes u in the weak positions (murió, murieron, muriendo, muramos, muráis and the whole imperfect subjunctive muriera/muriese). Third, it has an irregular past participle: muerto (not "morido"), used in every compound tense; muerto also works as an adjective ("dead").
